Melinda is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at One Behavioral in Sugar Land. She brings more than 10 years of nursing experience as a registered nurse, with a clinical background that includes medical-surgical nursing, intensive and critical care, and acute psychiatric settings. In 2026, she earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University, specializing as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).
Melinda takes a holistic and individualized approach to mental health care. She believes mental well-being is supported by finding balance among the mind, body, and spirit. She strives to create a welcoming and collaborative environment where patients feel seen, heard, and actively involved in their treatment.
“My goal is simple: to provide each patient with compassion, respect, and the quality of care that I would want for my own friends and family.”
Originally from New Jersey, Melinda has called Texas home for the past six years. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her dogs, being outdoors, and connecting with friends. She also volunteers with a local animal shelter, where she helps advocate for dogs in need and connect them with rescue organizations.
